New Ambassadors for the 2025 Polish Congresses have been selected

The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program has once again selected individuals who, through their passion, achievements, and international activities, are truly strengthening Poland's position on the global congress events map. During the Program Chapter meeting held on November 26 this year, the evaluation of applications for the current edition was completed and new winners of the prestigious title of Polish Congress Ambassador 2025 were selected.

The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program recognizes individuals who are particularly involved in the development of international scientific, business, cultural, and industry events organized in Poland. In accordance with the Program Regulations, the title of Ambassador may be awarded to representatives of the worlds of science, culture, sports, business, and other professional circles—in particular, individuals active in international associations and organizations, organizers of international events, and participants in global scientific, cultural, and economic exchange.

In this year's edition, the Chapter considered as many as 40 nominations from all over Poland. As emphasized by Prof. Marek Pawełczyk, PhD, Eng., Chairman of the PAKP Chapter, the level of applications was exceptionally high, which made the selection of winners extremely difficult. Ultimately, the Chapter selected 23 new honorary Ambassadors of Polish Congresses 2025.

The evaluation process included, among other things, an analysis of the candidates' membership in international organizations, the number and quality of congresses organized, legacy activities, planned events, and overall achievements and activities for the conference community. Earlier, the members of the Chapter reviewed the applications through an electronic evaluation system.

The winners of the Polish Congresses 2025 Ambassador title nominated by the Kraków Convention Bureau include:

Mr. Jakub Gałęziowski played a key role in acquiring and co-organizing the 23rd edition of the International Oral History Association (IOHA) conference, which took place on September 16-19, 2025, at the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University. The event brought together 370 participants from 55 countries and was one of the largest international humanities and social sciences conferences organized in Poland in recent years. The congress became an important platform for international debate and effective promotion of Polish science, the oral history community, and Kraków on the world stage.

Mr. Bartosz Hojka played a significant role in the process of acquiring the annual WAN-INFRA World Information Media Congress. On the initiative of Agora SA, with the involvement of President Hojka, the association was invited to organize the congress in Poland. The annual WAN-INFRA congress was held in Kraków as one of the most important international events in the media industry, bringing together leaders in publishing, journalism, and new technologies from around the world. The event at ICE Kraków became a platform for a global debate on the future of the media, freedom of speech, and digital transformation, while strengthening the position of Kraków and Poland as hosts of prestigious international congresses.

The title of Ambassador is a recognition of substantive contributions, professional achievements, and activities promoting the development of the scientific and conference environment in Poland, as well as the promotion of our country as an attractive venue for international events.
