Two Kraków hospitals honoured at the International Hospital Federation Awards!
On 10 November 2021, during the 44th World Hospital Congress in Barcelona, the International Hospital Federation that brings together medical and healthcare organisations from around the world, presented its IHF awards.
For the first time, Polish hospitals were also in the running. This year, as many as 250 applications came in from 38 countries. The winner of the third award of the American College of Healthcare Executives Excellence Award for Leadership and Management was Szpital na Klinach in Kraków (NEO Hospital). The facility was honoured for its project of creating a new hospital with the Robotic Surgery Centre and New Technologies, as well as a centre for the education and development of skills of medical personnel. The University Hospital in Kraków was acknowledged in the category of the Dr. Kwang Tae Kim Grand Hospital Award. The facility was awarded for the adaptation of the new site of the University Hospital for the needs of the COVID-19 Specialist Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
