The Virtual AGH Job Fair
The AGH Career Centre invited college and university students and alumni to participate in the Fall AGH Job Fair. The event took place from 16-18 November in virtual form and encompassed workshops and thematic presentations, talks with representatives of 60 companies, access to job offers and resumé consultations.
For college students and AGH alumni, the AGH Job Fair was an opportunity for professional growth, and for the employers – a possibility to recruit a well-educated staff. Regardless of the currently existing restrictions, the organisers made direct contact between the candidates and employers possible. During the event, the participants of the Virtual Job Fair were able to familiarise themselves with the offers and job specifications of over 60 different companies representing the engineering, economic and public sector industries. This year, the employers included the Górażdże Heidelberg Cement Group, Lhoist Zakłady Wapiennicze, Celsa Huta Ostrowiec, Allegro, LG Energy Solutions, Strabag, Nokia.
The participants of the job fair were able to take advantage of resumé consultations and legal advice. Moreover, the employers prepared a range of presentations and thematic workshops. “How to build a professional social media profile and receive interesting job offers?”, “How many engineers does it take to… design an aircraft engine?”, “Why is there a shortage of new cars?” – these are just some of the dozens of meetings that the students and alumni of AGH and other Kraków universities were able to participate in.
