The Krakow city guides conducted almost 400 meetings with preschoolers and primary school pupils. The guides' creativity and the attractive form of the activities generated great interest among teachers and pupils of Kraków's schools alike.

The lectures and excursions were conducted based on scripts which were developed in accordance with the current core curriculum. These materials have been placed at the Portal Edukacyjny UMK, Educational Portal of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, thanks to which parents and teachers have the opportunity to organise their own trips around Kraków. The themes of the tours and lectures are dedicated to Kraków's legends, the historical districts of the City, and the former inhabitants of Wawel. The guides also use specially prepared props and costumes, thanks to which the children are even more interested in Kraków's history.

In addition, the Mayor of Kraków assumed honorary patronage of a nationwide competition for schools entitled ‘Legends of Kraków’. The competition aims to popularise knowledge about Kraków and its surroundings, and foster creativity and teamwork in pupils. The participants' task was to create an audio-visual material on Kraków's legends. The winning class from Legionowo went on a guided tour of Kraków on 26 October as a reward for taking first place. The classes were organised by one of Kraków's guide associations in cooperation with the City of Kraków.
