The Entertainment and Sports Hall in Kraków is a multi-functional venue meeting the highest quality and safety standards, adapted to the organisation of international sports competitions, concerts, spectacles, circus shows, large stage, exhibition and fair events, as well as congresses and symposia.

The venue meets all the requirements of 18 international sports federations. It is adapted to the organisation and completion of the highest-rank competitions in such disciplines as hockey and figure skating, athletics, basketball, volleyball, handball, futsal, tennis, fencing, box, rhythmic gymnastics and others.

Apart from the main hall holding approx. 15,000 people within its infrastructure, the venue’s complex is comprised of a training hall with required infrastructure enabling the organisation of smaller events, as well as underground garages and ground-level car parks.

The venue will house such facilities as gym, saunas, cafes, buffets, skyboxes, conference rooms and, additionally, commercial spaces (over 6,000 m2) with virtually unlimited arrangement possibilities.
The entire complex will be richly furnished with modern multimedia installations and all necessary devices enabling the provision of the proper level of safety and the proper functioning of the venue.

The hall is located in the Czyżyny District in the vicinity of the Polish Airmen’s Park, the Garden of Experiments, the Plaza Shopping Centre, the M1 Shopping Centre, the Aviation Museum, buildings of the Cracow University of Technology, the University School of Physical Education, and the Special Economic Zone of the ‘Kraków Technology Park’.
The venue is being built according to a design prepared by a consortium of companies: Perbo Projekt sp. z o.o. from Kraków and Modern Construction Systems sp. z o.o. from Poznań, selected in a 2008 competition for the urban planning and architectural concept of an entertainment and sports hall.
Tenders conducted by ARM S.A. (City Development Agency) lead to selection of the Hall’s contractor, a consortium of the following companies: Mostostal Warszawa S.A. (Leader), Acciona Infraestructuras S.A., Mostostal Puławy S.A. and Asseco Systems S.A., and the Operator within the scope of cultural and entertainment events to be the Kraków Festival Office. In the remaining area of usage of the hall’s capacity ARM S.A. will look for event organisers by way of further tenders.
