Not just for gourmets! Krakow in the ranking of the best cities in Europe

Krakow was ranked in two categories of the ranking:

A note in the culinary context can be particularly satisfying. Only Barcelona, Prague, Lisbon, Madrid and Paris surpassed our city in this ranking. The capital of Małopolska boasts not only regional flavours, such as obwarzanek and maczanka, but also restaurants that are becoming top places to visit Krakow restaurant with two Michelin stars.

“Krakow today is a culinary macrocosm. It is made up of people who have decided to pursue their professional dreams in the historic heart of Poland. And they do it with spectacular results! As many as 18 restaurants from Krakow were included in this year's edition of the Michelin Guide. It was Krakow's Bottiglieria 1881 restaurant that was the first in the country to receive two stars in the famous red guide. This is the best confirmation that the gastronomic offer is an important asset for which to visit Krakow,” says Elżbieta Kantor, director of the UMK Tourism Department.

Because of its culture and history, tourists ranked Paris as the most popular destination in Europe. Prague and Barcelona also rank high on the list. The list also included Krakow, which in the eyes of many visitors is famous for its magnificent monuments and cultural heritage. The ranking was compiled by www.statista.com on behalf of Booking.com.

The capital of Małopolska has been nominated for another year in a row in the competition run by the British magazine Wanderlust. You can vote for Krakow in the category of most attractive European city. In the “Most Desirable City” category cast your vote for Krakow. The poll will run until October 18.
