The Polish Congress Ambassadors (AKP) program is implemented jointly by the Polish Tourist Organization and the non-governmental organization - Association of Conferences and Congresses in Poland. It serves to promote Poland as a place for organizing international congresses and conferences.
The aim of the AKP Program is to attract congresses to Poland and to provide effective assistance in attracting such events to our country by Poles operating in the structures of international organizations, e.g. scientists and professionals from various industries.
Similar programs are used successfully in many countries around the world as a national marketing tool.
So far, the title of Ambassador of Polish Congresses has been awarded to nearly 270 people (list), and a group of outstanding personalities from the Polish world of science, economy and culture participated in the work of the jury (list). The task of the program jury, which is elected once every 3 years, is to select a group of Polish Congress Ambassadors - people who promote and disseminate knowledge about the advantages of our country in their international environments, contributing to the decision to choose Poland as the location of the next international event.
