6th Polish Congress of Genetics – A Scientific Conference
The 6th Polish Congress of Genetics will be held 27–30 June 2022 at Jagiellonian University's Auditorium Maximum at ul. Krupnicza 33. The event is organised by the Polish Genetic Society (PTG) and the Polish Society of Human Genetics (PTGC).
The Congress is aimed at presenting the latest scientific achievements in the broadly understood area of genetics. To this end, it will include plenary lectures by international guests, as well as keynotes and workshops held in the following sections:
- Human genetics
- Animal genetics
- Plant genetics
- Genetics of micro-organisms
In addition, the Congress programme includes a panel dedicated to forensic genetics (Forensic Genetics Subsection), a branch which combines investigative methods and tools from the fields of genetics, molecular biology, immunology and forensics.
Scheduled for 30 June – the last day of the Congress – is a discussion panel, 'Genetyka a społeczeństwo' (‘Genetics and Society’), which will be attended by experts selected from the respective sections, conference participants and journalists.
