Space Climate Symposium Conference

The previous, seventh edition of the Symposium was held in Canada back in 2019. The participants attending previous editions of the conference represented numerous countries from around the world, including Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, India, Japan, Canada, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, the United States, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

The 8th Space Climate Symposium is organised by the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in cooperation with the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Symposium will take place on 19–22 September 2022 in Kraków. For the first time in its history, the conference will be held in Poland and in Central Europe. This is an incredible opportunity to attract more participants from this region, in particular students from Eastern European countries, allowing them to promote their own research on the relationship between the Sun and Earth. We expect numerous opportunities for networking and collaboration, in particular involving younger scientists.

The Space Climate Symposium provides an opportunity for space climate experts to meet with young science students, undergraduates and PhD students. The goal of the symposium is to provide a platform for broad academic discussion on understanding the causes and consequences of long-term changes in solar activity. In particular, the participants will deliberate on how the changing activity of the Sun affects the outer space near Earth, as well as Earth's atmosphere and climate on time scales ranging from a few months to several millennia. The issues raised at the Symposium will also provide an excellent opportunity to promote knowledge of the Sun and its impact on the Earth, to the public.

The conference provides an opportunity to promote Poland and the Polish research among the participants from all over the world.
