Visit Krakow this Christmas! Recommended by CNN

A Christmas city break in Kraków is always a good idea, especially when the unique atmosphere is created by the Christmas market. It is this tourist attraction that the CNN noticed by recommending a visit to the capital of Małopolska. Traditionally, the market will be held on the Main Square and will last from 29 November to 1 January.

As CNN notes, Kraków's Christmas market is one of the largest in Europe, and the surrounding historic architecture makes the attraction definitely worth a visit. The historic landscape is an important complement to local traditions, which can be discovered by walking along the Christmas stalls. Visitors will be treated to regional delicacies, pottery and various examples of handicrafts - from jewellery to Christmas decorations, including hand-painted bubbles. Folk bands and carol singers will provide the musical setting for the Christmas market. A detailed programme for this year's event will be published soon.
Recommending a visit to Kraków, CNN also drew attention to the annual Nativity Scene competition, in which talented artists compete for the title of the most beautiful work. This tradition dates back to 1937 and is still very popular today. The Kraków market has been recognised by CNN as one of the most beautiful in the world and has been ranked among those of New York, London, Vienna and Prague.

The Christmas market is one of those attractions that encourage visitors to visit Kraków. CNN's recommendation was joined by the UK's The Independent, considering the market one of the most interesting in the world. The upcoming holidays are a good opportunity to take a closer look at the city and discover many unique places.
