The session began on Wednesday, 4 December, at the Potocki Palace. One of the main topics discussed on the first day was issues related to the night-time economy. A presentation on the night-time economy was followed by a speech by Night Mayor Jack Jordan, who recapped night‑time economy good practices, in particular the actions of the Commission for the Sustainable Night‑Time Economy.

Another point on the agenda of the Tourism Commission was a tour of the mound and illumination of the park at Fort Kościuszko. The site was revitalized thanks to the efforts of the Municipal Buildings Administration, under the supervision of the Municipal Historic Preservation Officer. The work was funded by institutions such as the Social Committee for Renovation of Krakow Monuments and with EU funds under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lesser Poland Region.

The topic of the second day of the meeting was “Trail of Women of Krakow”. This is a service provided for tourists in Krakow, telling female stories from a herstorical perspective. The lecture was delivered by prof. Agnieszka Chłosta-Sikorska.

The Association of Polish Cities is one of 11 national or regional organizations to which Kraków belongs. These also include the Union of Polish Metropolises, the Union of Jura Municipalities, the League of Polish Cities, and UNESCO Sites. The city has representatives in each of these organizations. Together with delegates from other cities, they undertake initiatives and carry out projects that significantly impact the operation of local governments, including Krakow.
