With the fast pace of life, many of us dream of a short, relaxing trip that will allow us to escape from everyday life, at least for a moment. The ranking analyzes the most important factors affecting the comfort of short trips:

  • average flight times,
  • cost and time of transfer from the airport,
  • hotel prices,
  • ratings of key attractions,
  • and the overall “ease” of exploring the city.

Kraków number 1 in Europe

Kraków was the undisputed winner of the ranking, earning the title of the easiest

and most enjoyable destination for a quick city break. Flights from the UK take less than 3 hours, and the airport is only a 17-minute train ride from the city center, which means that you can be strolling through the atmospheric Old Town before noon.

The city scored high marks for:

  • great walkability – most attractions can be visited on foot,
  • affordable hotel prices, starting at around £70 (approx. PLN 300),
  • a unique atmosphere, ideal for a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway.

The highest-rated attraction remains the Main Market Square (4.8/5), but it is also worth straying from the main trails and discovering the charming streets of Kazimierz, full of cafes, galleries, and small wine bars.

Other places in the ranking

The list also includes other ideal destinations for a short reset: Copenhagen, Prague, Berlin, Venice, and many more – all great for people who want to quickly change their surroundings and feel the atmosphere of European cities without a long journey.
