Wesoła Immersive

Wesoła Immersive is a unique place for meetings and the exchange of ideas, where history merges with modern technology and new‑media art. Located amid greenery, away from the city’s hustle and the predictable, closed‑off conference centers, it creates an environment conducive to focus, creativity, and open, substantive dialogue. It is a space designed for people who value not only functionality, but also atmosphere and the quality of experience.

The building that houses Wesoła Immersive was transformed from a former canteen—the historic “Old Kitchen” dating back to 1879—located at 17A Kopernika Street in the Wesoła district. The adaptation of this structure is a deliberate gesture aligned with a broader concept of revitalizing areas taken over by the city and assigning them new, open functions. Former hospital back‑of‑house infrastructure, once closed and inaccessible, is now becoming a space for culture, dialogue, and experimentation, while preserving its authentic local character.

The venue stands out for its exceptionally high adaptive potential. The spaces of Wesoła Immersive can be flexibly arranged depending on the nature of the event—from conferences and panel discussions to workshops, presentations, and networking meetings. The modular interior layout allows for seamless transitions between different event formats, while the possibility of using the surrounding outdoor area enables the creation of themed, relaxation, and integration zones. As a result, each event can gain a distinct identity and a coherent narrative.

At the core of Wesoła Immersive’s activity is Kraków’s first immersive exhibition, which forms an integral part of the venue’s operation. The creators of the project are set designer Hubert Kaszycki and Piotr Kowalski, who promise an experience based on fully immersing the audience in art. Immersion is understood here not as a static display, but as a dynamic process of interaction between the artwork, space, technology, and the viewer.

The exhibition engages multiple senses simultaneously. Visitors encounter monumental large‑format projections, hypnotic LED installations, dynamic kinetic sculptures, and works co‑created by artificial intelligence algorithms and language models. The experience is complemented by a carefully designed soundscape created by the Kraków‑based duo Sarapata, enhancing the sense of immersion and shaping the emotional reception of the space.

The immersive nature of the exhibition also provides real added value for business and conference events held at the venue. Interaction with new‑media art fosters openness, breaks down formal barriers, and facilitates relationship‑building among participants. As a result, meetings at Wesoła Immersive become not only platforms for knowledge exchange, but also full‑scale experiences that remain in the memory long after the event has ended.

Wesoła Immersive is much more than an exhibition alone—it also hosts workshops, concerts, meetings with artists, and maintains extensive cooperation with Kraków universities such as AGH University of Science and Technology, the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP), and SWPS University.

Wesoła Immersive is a proposition for organizers who expect more than a standard conference venue. It is a place that combines architectural heritage with innovation, builds emotions, supports dialogue, and actively participates in redefining this part of the city as a space of the future.
