MIRCIM 2026 – International AI Experts in Medicine

From May 7–9, 2026, the ICE Kraków Congress Centre will host the 11th edition of the McMaster International Review Conference of Internal Medicine (MIRCIM)—a prestigious international educational conference addressed to physicians and medical students. It is the only event of its kind in Poland and a unique gathering on the international stage.

The MIRCIM 2026 program comprises 11 clinical sessions featuring more than 60 world‑class experts, including authors of international clinical guidelines. The conference presents up‑to‑date medical knowledge based on reliable scientific evidence with direct applicability to everyday clinical practice. The event is also of particular value to specialists in narrower fields of internal medicine, with the program including four extensive sessions dedicated to cardiology, rheumatology, nephrology, and diabetology.

Running concurrently with MIRCIM is AIMed (Artificial Intelligence in Medicine) 2026—a three‑day conference focused on various aspects of using artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. AIMed 2026 is organized in cooperation with experts from the Big Data Institute at the University of Oxford, McMaster University in Canada, and the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. The event is addressed to a broad audience involved in AI, including both developers and users of AI tools, representing the medical, scientific, and technological communities. Policymakers responsible for regulatory and ethical frameworks—also at the level of the European Union—will be among the speakers.

A second parallel event accompanying MIRCIM is the final of the international Young Talents in Internal Medicine World Contest. For the eighth time, young internists from around the world will present the most compelling clinical case reports. The contest follows a problem-based learning (PBL) methodology and supports the development of practical diagnostic and therapeutic skills. A new feature of the 2026 edition is the MIRCIM Open Call for Abstracts, covering original research papers, meta-analyses, and case series. Authors of accepted submissions will present their work during the conference in poster format, and the abstracts will be published in the official abstract book.

MIRCIM is organized by the Polish Institute of Evidence-Based Medicine and McMaster University (Canada), in cooperation with the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. Conference partners include the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Medical University of Łódź, the Poznań University of Medical Sciences, the Wrocław Medical University, as well as the International Society of Internal Medicine, the European Federation of Internal Medicine, and internal medicine scientific societies from nearly 50 countries worldwide.
