Public transport
City trams and buses
Despite the size of the conurbation, moving around Krakow is not a problem. The city is famous for its well-organised public transport network and its constantly extended and modernised infrastructure.
In Krakow, there are many tram and bus lines, enabling smooth transport around the city and outside its limits (e.g. to Wieliczka). Often, especially in the city centre, it is worth ditching the car in favour of public transport.
A two-or three-day card (valid for consecutive days, the date is valid) entitles the holder to free travel on buses and trams day and night (including bus lines 208, 252 and 902 to the airport in Balice and 304 to Wieliczka) and free entry to 40 Krakow museums and attractions (including the Gallery in the Cloth Hall, the tour under the Market Square, the Oskar Schindler Enamel Factory, the Polish Aviation Museum, and also St. Mary's Church). Card holders may also take advantage of discounts in selected restaurants and shops and local excursions. The card can be purchased at InfoKraków points, selected travel agencies, and hotels.
