Krakow Balice Airport is located approximately 11 km west of the city centre. From Krakow you can fly direct from/to many cities in Europe, including Paris, London, Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Rome and Brussels. Krakow airport serves, among others, Lufthansa, Norwegian, LOT, Austrian Airlines, Wizz Air and Air Berlin.
To or from the city centre, the airport can be reached:
- train – the railcar departs approximately every half-hour from the Krakow Main Railway Station directly to Airport terminal. Travel by railcar takes only about 15 minutes.
- car – to/from the airport there are 4 routes to the city centre. A short-term, secure car park is located in front of the international terminal, Krakow Airport also has two long-term car parks: multi-storey car park and outdoor.
- taxi – access to/from the city centre takes about 30-40 minutes. Krakow Airport Balice Airport has its own network of taxis, and their rank is located in front of the international terminal.
- bus – conurbation routes No 208 and night bus line 902 have a few stops in the city centre, including at the Railway Station, the bus terminus is located in front of the airport international terminal. Line 252 leads from airport bus stop to ICE Congress Center. The journey takes about 45 minutes.
Katowice International Airport in Pyrzowice
Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice is located approximately 110 km west of Krakow. Many people coming to Krakow use it, because it serves popular airlines such as Lufthansa, SAS and WizzAir.
