On June 9, 2025, the inaugural meeting of the Kraków Network 2.0 project, coordinated by the Kraków Convention Bureau (UMK Tourism Department), took place at the ICE Kraków Congress Center. The event brought together nearly 150 representatives of Krakow's MICE industry, experts from home and abroad, representatives of universities and city cultural institutions.

Kraków Network 2.0 project focuses on building an integrated community of MICE sector entities that, through cooperation, aim to increase the number of business and academic events taking place in Kraków.

Poland maintains a strong position in the global meetings industry. According to the latest Union of International Associations (UIA) - International Meetings Statistics Report 2024, our country ranked 21st in the world in terms of the number of international association meetings. This is another year in which Poland remains at the top, confirming its growing attractiveness to organizers of congresses, conferences and international events.

Targi w Krakowie with a new Ewa Woch, co-founder and former vice-president of Targi w Krakowie, has taken over as CEO, replacing Grazyna Grabowska, who decided to retire after many years of intensive work.

With great pomp and a symbolic welcome - a water salute, ribbon cutting and an occasional cake - Kraków Airport and Małopolska are opening a new chapter in their history. On June 27, the first plane of the Flynas airline will land on the tarmac of Kraków Airport, directly connecting Kraków with Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. This is a landmark event not only for the airport, but also for the entire region. The Saudis gain a convenient way to discover the charms of Malopolska, and Malopolska gains a new window to the Middle East.

The KRAKDENT® International Dental Fair, organized by Targi w Krakowie, has won the prestigious 2025 UFI Marketing Award from The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). The jury recognized the KRAKDENT® Trade Fair campaign as the most effective and best suited to the younger generation of trade fair attendees.

The year 2024 was another successful stage for Krakow in the reconstruction and development of the meetings industry. The published 16th edition of the “Meetings Industry in Kraków” report, prepared by the Kraków University of Economics Foundation, presents not only the scale and structure of events organized in the city, but also the growing role of Kraków on the international stage.

Once again, Krakow restaurants have a strong representation in the famous culinary guide. For the third year in a row, it is Krakow's restaurant, as the only one in Poland, that has received the prestigious two stars.

With the start of the high season, City Helpers - city patrols whose task is not only to ensure order and safety on the streets of Krakow, but also to provide tourist information, promote local cultural events and, if necessary, provide first aid - are taking to the streets of the historic center of Krakow for the fifth time.

On June 12, representatives of Europe's most touristic cities - Amsterdam, Paris and Vienna - met at the Krzysztofory Palace to discuss short-term rentals. Among the guests there were also representatives of Polish cities, which care about normalizing this phenomenon. The event was an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices to contribute to the balance between the tourism industry and the needs of the local community.

On June 23-25, Krakow will once again host the ABSL Summit, an event that is a platform for meetings, knowledge exchange and inspiration among business leaders, opinion leaders, representatives of local government and the world of science. The slogan of this year's edition is "Embrace technology. Empower people."
