The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached a long-awaited consensus. This is a landmark decision, made possible thanks to the long-standing efforts of the Alliance of European Cities, of which Krakow is also a member. The new regulations will allow local governments to more effectively combat the phenomenon of illegal renting, a problem that has been affecting European cities, including the capital of Małopolska, for years.

The ICE Krakow Congress Centre, an integral part of Krakow’s cultural landscape, is celebrating its ninth birthday, remaining at the forefront of venues building the city’s competitive edge. More than 1.5 million participants and 1,300 organised events constitute an impressive balance sheet of nine years of intensive operations.

In 2023, the GDS project saw significant growth. The GDS-Index featured 100 destinations from 11 countries around the world, including as many as 42 new cities, sending a clear message of willingness to cooperate and change. 86% of the destinations improved their previous performance.

With the first snowfall in the Małopolska mountains, a winter promotional campaign, prepared for the first time on such a scale, was launched on 11 November and broadcast via the largest national television stations.

On this year's list of the 100 most influential figures in the event world - "Top 100 Most Influential People in the Event Industry" prepared by the creators of the Eventex Awards competition, as many as 11 Poles have made an appearance. Additionally, another six individuals from Poland have been recognized in lists featuring experts in technology and event venues.

The Michelin Guide, considered an authority in the culinary world, will also recommend hotels as from next year. Facilities offering the most exceptional experience will be awarded a new distinction - the Michelin key. The first hotels awarded with Michelin keys are to be announced next year, but the recommended facilities are already known. Krakow is the city with the highest number of distinguished venues, confirming the high quality of accommodation in the capital of Polish tourism.

The tastes and scents of Christmas are best experienced at Christmas markets. CNN urges visitors to visit the Krakow Christmas Market, citing it as one of the most interesting in the world and among the largest in Europe. The market will open on 24 November and, as every year, will enrich the unique atmosphere of the city.
