The Poland Convention Bureau is managing the coordination of the Polish stand at IMEX America 2024, taking place in Las Vegas from 8th to 10th October. Stand E2426 will feature a diverse range of Polish exhibitors, including convention bureaux, incentive travel companies, PCOs, and DMCs from across Poland, all set to showcase their business services and premier destinations for meetings and events.

Until 15 October you can submit applications for Polish Congress Ambassadors who actively attract international events to Poland. Once again, you can also submit applications for Polish Congress Patrons, i.e. companies and institutions supporting organised events. 

On 12-15 September, Krakow hosted congress, conference and incentive travel organisers from Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. In cooperation with local suppliers, we had the pleasure to present the potential of the city and the region, and inspire participants to organise events for their customers.

Three key venues on the map of Krakow - the ICE Krakow Congress Centre, TAURON Arena Krakow and the EXPO Krakow International Trade Fair and Congress Centre - are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, Krakow 5020 (the operator of ICE Krakow), together with EXPO Krakow and Arena Krakow S.A., have organised a unique exhibition titled ‘10 YEARS TOGETHER FOR KRAKOW’. The exhibition in Krakow's Planty Park, opposite Bunkier Sztuki, will be on display until 31 October 2024.

Pseudomedical experiments on prisoners in Nazi German concentration camps, other violations of medical ethics during World War II, and implications of Nazi medicine for contemporary medical ethics will be the primary themes of the 5th international conference “Medical Review Auschwitz: Medicine Behind Barbed Wire,” to be held  on September 23-25, 2024 in Kraków, Poland.

Krakow ranked 5th in a ranking of European cities that boast the cleanest accommodation offered by the Airbnb booking platform. Experts from Guest Ready, a British portal dedicated to vacation rentals, analysed data collected by Airbnb from 50 popular European cities, which then served as a base for preparing a ranking of the 100 most highly rated accommodation offers in each city. The first two places went to the picturesque Croatian towns of Split and Dubrovnik, with average cleanliness ratings of 4.93/5 and 4.92/5, respectively, and Athens came third with a rating of 4.89/5.

The night‑time economy and the challenges it poses are an important aspect of a well-functioning city, so it should develop with respect for the rights of all social groups. The Commission for the Sustainable Night‑Time Economy, composed of 30 members, is responsible for developing the night‑time economy .The inaugural meeting, launching the work of the Commission, was held Tuesday at City Hall.

The BNP Paribas Green Film Festival is an international environmental film festival held in Krakow since 2018. It is the only environmental film festival in Poland, and one of the largest in the world. Each year, during the seven-day festival, approximately 50 films entered in the competition, and dozens of other films, are shown.
