Your Kraków – walk and photograph with us!
Kraków invites enthusiasts of mobile photography for free tours. The city inhabitants can see, have a peek, sometimes taste and record unique places, festive traditions, regional dishes and other peculiarities of Kraków while strolling around the city under the supervision of city guides. The guide to Kraków ’s most interesting Instagram locations will be the result of the activity. The action is organised as part of the Tourism Friendly Cities project, where Kraków acts as the partner under the URBACT III programme.
Up to date, 3 trips and a field game for children have been held. On Saturday, December 11, traditional Malopolska dishes were photographed and tasted, while on Sunday, December 12, Kraków nativity scenes were admired at the Planty Park and the post-competition exhibition at the Krzysztofory Palace in the Kraków Museum. During this year's last meeting held on 19 December, the guides invited the participants for a walk around the Christmas market. The participants had the opportunity to learn about the history of fairs dating back to the Middle Ages, and listen to stories about the history of the Main Square, its inhabitants as well as the surrounding tenement houses. Subsequent walks are scheduled for January and February of 2022.
