The best city break? Krakow on the podium
For the past sixteen years, the Post Office Travel Money portal has compared the cost of short trips to cities across Europe, examining value for money, and the results have been presented in a ranking of places worth visiting. In this year’s survey, Krakow was ranked third.
The Post Office Travel Money report took into account ten or more factors, from meals and public transportation costs to attraction admission prices and access to cultural events. The researchers compared all of this with the average cost of two nights in a three-star hotel.
This year’s report, which is the sixteenth, surveyed 35 European cities. Which cities fared best? Where is it profitable to plan a city break? The top ten list is opened by Lisbon, with Vilnius running second, followed closely by Krakow. In ninth place, Warsaw was also included in the ranking.
