On 7 October 2022, the Grota 2 Club hosted the seminar titled ‘The Importance of Stakeholders in the Co-Management of a Tourism Destination’ organised by the Cracow University of Economics Foundation.

During the celebration of World Tourism Day on Tuesday, 27 September, graduates of guide courses received their certificates during an official graduation ceremony. This year, the ranks of certified tourist guides in Kraków grew by 25 newcomers.

October 10 - 13 Las Vegas hosted the international meetings industry trade show IMEX America. For the eighth time, the Polish Tourist Organization was the organizer of the Polish national booth, where companies involved in the professional organization of meetings and conference facilities presented their offers.
 

The management of tourism in cities, the cultural offer of Kraków and the stages of the operationalisation of the Sustainable Tourism Policy for Kraków in the Years 2021–2028 were discussed by participants of the Kraków Tourism Forum, held on September 29 at the Potocki Palace. 

We are approaching the anniversary of the 25th International Book Fair in Kraków®, which will once again bring together tens of thousands of literature lovers from all over the country on October 27–30 at EXPO Kraków. Kraków will be immersed in the world of reading for four days, and visitors will have the opportunity to attend numerous meetings, lectures and discussions, meet their favourite writers, get autographs and expand their home collections with new titles.

The ICE Kraków Congress Centre is a business and cultural showpiece of the city. Located in the heart of Kraków, it allows the organisation of various events: from international congresses, conferences, symposia and business meetings, to cultural events and social meetings. The facility is operated by the Kraków5020 company.

We need new technological solutions in every area of life. Also in tourism. Kraków, a city visited by several  dozen million or more tourists every year, seems a perfect place to implement them. The mission of Kraków5020 is to create the image of the city as the best place for tourists.  To make it easier for them to communicate in the capital of the Małopolska region, we are initiating tests of an electronic translator in cooperation with Vasco. The devices will serve foreigners utilising the InfoKrakow tourist information network points and attendees at ICE Krakow Congress Centre events, and will be placed in select hotels.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Mayor of Kraków Jacek Majchrowski expressed his best wishes to all of Kraków’s tourists and visitors.

On 11^th September, City Helpers appeared on the streets and squares of Kraków for the last time this year. Starting on 23^rd May, City Helpers gave information, helped people to find their way to tourist attractions and recommended current cultural events while striving to ensure respect for the applicable rules in Kraków and monitoring compliance with the regulations of the Old Town Cultural Park.

On 15^th September 2022, the IBTM team published a ranking of The Most Cultural Cities for International Meetings, thus helping to narrow the options for everyone planning an international meeting where culture plays the leading role. The publication of the ranking is directly connected with this year’s theme of IBTM World – ‘Creating Culture’ – that will take place in Barcelona from 29^th November till 1^st December.
