The unique nature of the capital of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship is becoming increasingly popular with tourists from the Arabian Peninsula, who are more and more visible the streets of Krakow.

On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of Google Maps, Golden Pins were awarded -that is, awards for the best tourist attractions in the country. There were 16 places on the Polish list -one from each region. Wawel is the winner in the Malopolska Region. It already has more than 100,000 opinions on Google Maps, and the average rating is 4.7.

The capital of Małopolska with its 6th place ranks quite high in the prestigious and competitive culinary race. Barcelona is the most attractive foodie destination in Europe, endorsed by most global travelers on Booking.com.

Krakow was ranked in two categories of the ranking:

• “10 Gourmet Places in Europe" – 6th place,
• “Top 10 places with history and culture" – 10th place.

A note in the culinary context can be particularly satisfying. Only Barcelona, Prague, Lisbon, Madrid and Paris surpassed our city in this ranking. The capital of Małopolska boasts not only regional flavours, such as obwarzanek and maczanka, but also restaurants that are becoming top places to visit Krakow restaurant with two Michelin stars.

City Helpers take care of city centre operations for the third time. The Market Square and Kazimierz are bustling with activity almost 24/7. The paths of residents and tourists intersect here, and the City Helpers are there to ensure their comfort. Their task is to spot inappropriate behaviour in the historic city centre, as well as provide information and promote local cultural events.

It describes the meetings and events industry in Krakow last year, encompassing an analysis of congresses, conferences, seminars, symposiums, trainings, workshops, and two other key market segments – commercial fairs and exhibitions, as well as corporate events (including incentive travel).

We are seeking Polish Congress Ambassadors who actively promote Poland as a destination for international events. Once again we also welcome nominations for Polish Congress Patrons, i.e. companies and institutions that support these events. Registration is open until 15 September 2023.

The Royal Running Triad organised by the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków is the biggest and the most popular running initiative in Kraków, Poland. It’s consist of three events: Cracovia Marathon, Cracovia Royal Half Marathon and the Three Mounds’ Run. Competitors who manage to complete all three runs during the year are awarded with a special trophy.

The first Krakow stakeholders meeting of the MINEV project took place on 26 June 2023 in the Environmental Education Center of the Municipality of Krakow. 9 of 10 MINEV stakeholders from Krakow participated in the meeting (15 people including the project team).

The director of the Krakow Museum, Michał Niezabitowski, was unanimously elected chairman of the association council at the founding General Meeting of Members of the Tourist Organization of the Capital Royal City of Krakow. Grzegorz Soszyński, a Krakow-based entrepreneur and tourism manager, was appointed President of the Management Board of LOT Krakow.
