Climate education off the charts

During the conference, we will present how fascinating and inspiring climate education can be, tailored to the needs of teachers and specific age groups, with a programme covering lectures, short speeches and workshops. The conference will cover topics such as climate change and examples of adaptation to this change, as well as how to transfer knowledge to students, and we will also address conscious and rational approaches to consumption behaviour in various areas of life, carbon footprint as an indicator of human impact on the environment, energy and natural resource conservation, and our shared responsibility for the planet.

The Conference is organised by the Team of Climate and Environmental Advisors of the City of Krakow. According to one of its members, Beata Kulig-Gołąbek:

“Our goal is to reach a wide range of primary and secondary school teachers, directors of educational institutions, and educators. Everyone involved in climate education is cordially invited to participate in this event, during which together we can create an inspiring space to share knowledge, experience and inspiration.”

The organisers’ goal is to provide participants with knowledge of innovative climate education tools, present sample lesson plans on climate protection and the environment, and provide them with the opportunity to role-play LARP climate game demos.

Following the conference, each participant will receive access to educational materials and scenarios necessary to conduct selected workshops, lessons and games, with materials available on the conference website. 

Anyone interested in attending the conference should fill out a registration form. Additional registration is required for the workshop, and will be possible after registering for the conference and receiving a registration confirmation email.

Participation in the conference is free of charge.
